Why get together as a group?
- To support the 'loose collective' principle; mutual support to continue raising the profile of cycling by being visible Wednesdays.
- Promoting more cycling.
- Road conditions and cycle lane markings. Would like to think as a group we could have more influence.
- 'Safety in numbers' to travel by bike to work.
- Ask council for continuous cycle lane along A650. Promote cycling to non-cyclists.
- Act as a pressure group to contribute to improvements to Bradford's use of cycles and C02 reduction via transport strategy and elected members.
- Keen to see more cyclists particularly our school kids. Official status for the bike bus Route.(signed)
- Really enjoy meeting and cycling with new folk!
- Social experience of cycling with others (companiable!). A significant presence on the road feels good.
- Catalyst for other buses – feature in the CTC magazine – Get Boris to ride one day. Get manufacturers to sponsor freebies. Promote to other users along the route via suitable leaflet/handout.
- Taking part in the AV Bike Bus has had a massive impact on my life. After 15 years as a car driver, who always thought she would have to be dragged kicking and screaming from her car, I am amazed at how easy it is. I want to support continuation of journey, as it makes cycling to work a real possibility for me.
